Azelle Breytonbach
Azelle has been coming to Rebuild Capalaba for several years, and works alongside our exercise physiologist Steve as strength and conditioning coach for Sheldon College.
Azelle is a track athlete, specialising in the 200m & 400m distances and has a bachelor of exercise science. She’s also studying clinical exercise physiology. Azelle also has a ASCA level one and sports trainer level one, all of her qualifications were born from her being an elite athlete. Azelle won a podium at the Queensland junior state championships and represented her state on a national level.
Azelle says coaching was a natural progression from being an athlete, “And my interest in studying how the human body works and how it can adapt to certain movements, “ she says.
“To me, being a coach means you are constantly learning new things and evolving, which is why I enjoy it so much. It is so rewarding to support individuals to reach their full potential and feel great within themselves.”
When Azelle isn’t in the gym or out on the track, she’s spending time with her friends and family.
