James Batey
James comes to Rebuild Health and Fitness with over 13 years of experience in health & fitness. Always surrounded by sport from a young age.
James has played many sports throughout his career reaching different heights in each. Rugby union is where he gained the most experience. Playing county rugby all through his childhood until he captained his college for two years before heading off to university to play straight years with Glamorgan University premier grade, winning a premiership in the Great British University league.
James was also selected to represent Wales at university rugby 7s. After finishing university he moved to Australia to play rugby, which is where the love of CrossFit started. After suffering a broken leg, James used CrossFit as a rehab tool and has never looked back. The way CrossFit made him think about different movement patterns was life-changing for him all while gaining strength through a greater ranges of motion.
James Takes pride in the success and development of every individual he coaches, he is passionate about mentoring people, believing everyone has the potential to be who they want to be and that it is never too late. James is also Mac Nutrition University Nutritionist. The first fully evidence-based nutrition course in the world.
